Comment:
I went into a horrible depression from this medication and lost the hair on my face, eyebrows and eyelashes. As soon as I was switched to a different medication my depression was gone within weeks and my eyebrows and eyelashes grew back.

I have taken Dilantin since I was 16 years old. I am now 82. Later primodin and neurortin were added. I had few side effects and few break through but remember all Seizers are different. Everyone should have a GOOD neurologist and have your blood level check every six months. Mayo clinic was the place I got the most help. I have my BS and MA. Taught school for 27 years. Comment:
Started having seizures at age 13. Have been utilizing this medication ever since. 30 years later I can confidently tell that as long as I take meds as prescribed I have not had a seizure. Over 10 years without a seizure! Still, always concerned that will someday change but so far so good. Side effects: Often drowsy, hard to concentrate.

Comment:
Sudden onset of tonic clonic seizures in 1996 at age 34. After 6 months on Dilantin attempted physican directed cessation of drug. Seizures began again. Have been on the same dose from the beginning - 460mg daily.

I have been taking it for most of my life started with the drug n3 wonder why they took it off the market had no side effects with n3
