What should I know before taking M-Gesic oral?

If you are:

Pregnant:

Absolute Contraindication: NOT RECOMMENDED ESPECIALLY IN 3RD TRIMESTER OR NEAR TERM

Nursing:

Precaution: DRUG MAY CONCENTRATE IN MILK. POTENTIAL LETHARGY & SEDATION.

An adult over 60:

Precaution: (BEERS)(SOM) HIGH RISK OF ADDICTION/ SEDATION. FALL RISK. AVOID USE.

Giving M-Gesic oral to a child under 12:

Relative Contraindication: REYE SYNDROME RISK WITH VIRAL ILLNESS, FEVER, FLU SYMPTOMS.
