I am 36 and have never experienced a side effect from BC pills. After taking Junel for 1-2 months I have gained 5 pounds, suffered severe mood swings, have acne all over my forehead, and my breasts are a full size larger. I never post on sites but all of these effects are so far from my normal self that I had to alert others. I switched pills this month and my doctor told me it will take 2 mont ... Show Full Comment

My period has become extremely sporadic where it can occur twice in one month and then maybe not come for three months. I have the w ... Show Full Comment

This birth control has made me extremely emotional, to the point of being crazy. It's made me think and feel certain ways that I know I would never feel pre-birth control self. It does prevent pregnancy and I haven't gained any weight; however the affect it's having on my emotions and behaviors are unbearable. Stopping this pill tomorrow because it's not worth the emotional strug ... Show Full Comment

I'm 17 years of age and I started taking this when I was 16. At first for the first three months I have uncontrollable rage at the smallest things. And I took three packs straight not knowing you had to skip a week to have your period, after around six months I've found a balance. It has stopped my sex drive for a while, but my body seems to have adjusted and being the young hormonal Adole ... Show Full Comment
