I started using Vagifem (10 mcg., 2x/week) 8-months ago but found it did nothing past the vagina. My external labia was dry and I felt like I needed something more overall. My GYN immediately prescribed Estrace cream, 1gram 2-3 x/week, and said I could spread a little bit of the cream on the outside on the labia. I've been using it one week and I really notice a positive difference.

49, post partial hysterectomy. Prescribed med for vaginal dryness. It does help, but I experience extreme mood swings, Night sweats and hot flashes, bloating, weight gain and difficulty achieving orgasm. Tried Estrace and had side effects with that as well. Ugh!
