I've been very happy with Alyacen. I haven't noticed any effects on my emotions and it makes my periods super light, predictable, and easy. I had heard horror stories from others on "the pill", but this works great for me!

I had taken Necon for 8 years, and randomly my pharmacy was no longer carrying it. They switched me to Alyacen, and at first there were no differences. After a while, I was getting odd red spots all over my face and nothing was helping them. After a month of taking it, I started becoming more anxious and depressed. After switching back to Necon, these awful side effects went away. My husband later told me my personality was not the same while I was on Alyacen. Now my pharmacy keeps trying to give me Alacyen because they can't get Necon in sto ... Show Full Comment

I put on this birth control after having an adverse reaction to Yaz. At first it was fine and my period was very light. I started to notice I was more snappish but considered it just PMS. Then I would have my "sad" days and just cry at the drop of a hat.
