have had lower back pain for 2 years now,had Inj in my back but this did not work.so now use Butrans patch 20mg i find it needs changing after 5 days not 7 as prescribed.i was given 10mg to top it up but this made me feel sick so i don't use the 10mg with the 20mg.I wish i could have somthing done to my back as i do not want to live on the patch.

I got put on the 10mcg patch but they changed it to the 20 patch. I'm still in pain after wearing it everyday for 2 months. They drug tested me and it Was NOT even in my system and I had it on when I took the test...My body is not getting it..

BEWARE - this is an effective drug but the withdrawals can be wicked. Suicidal thoughts like never before, very emotional, and just crazy thoughts. So, if you decide to stick with Butrans, be prepared to get addicted. It works but if you truly do not want to be on a narcotic for the rest of your life, it is a dangerous drug. I am off of it and will not go back.

Lupus, scoliosis, DDD, stenosis w/compression fx, Sjogrens and migraines. Was on Percocet, afraid of becoming dependent and not getting enough relief. On B/patch 20mg. Very nauseated for a few days. Also have the itchiness many have mentioned, but no rash. I am able to have a much more normal life and quality of life much improved. Have Percocet for breakthrough but don't Ned it till day 5. I am on Butran 10 mg, for the past year & 1/2, It has changed my life for the better, I am able to do more then When I wasn't on them, I do get dry spots from time to time and For me I have to change the patch every 5 days, rather then 7 , Out of being on the Patch for a year and a half only 3 patches have fallen off, I have 2 brain tumors and a failed bone fusion in my neck as well as hav ...
